Sustainability & Certification

Certified in 2021 as a GSTC (Global Sustainable Tourism Council) sustainable hotel. The GSTC certification promotes the increased knowledge, understanding and adoption of sustainable tourism practices. All marine excursions are designed to reduce environmental impact while contributing to biodiversity monitoring and the local community economy.

Eco Commitment Program

Direct economic involvement of the community; dissemination of knowledge on the environment and culture of the Maldives; all goods available on the island are purchased on site; development of specific environmental education programs for the local school; Conservation Center team carries out responsible activities for tourists including guided snorkeling tours and beach clean up events; activities aim to raise awareness in international guests; management and staff work daily towards sustainability.
